TRINI and TOBY are proud and glad

To belong to TOBAGO and TRINIDAD

From their parents they learn of their ancestry

And the names they must place on their FAMILY TREE

NOBLE HERITAGE is the name of their DAD

Who was born in CHAGUANAS, TRINIDAD.

Their mother is HOPE and the twins now know

She was born in WHIM VILLAGE in TOBAGO

JAMES HERITAGE is one GRAND-DAD'S name

He married LUCINDA whose father came

From CHINA a land far across the sea

And who married Great-Grandma CARINA MAMMY

From AFRICA two hundred years ago

Came the parents of Great-Gran JOFINA IBO

She married Great Gran-Dad HARITAJ who came

From India, to work planting sugar-cane.

Another Great Gran-ma JAYNANDA QUAMMIE

From an African branch of the family tree,

Wed Scottish Great Grand-Pa RORY MCGEE

And their daughter was DALE, now TOBAGO GRANNY

The twins had great fun in making their tree

And placing the names of their family

Which is why they suggest that you make one too

And ask your folks of the roots from which your tree grew!
